Looking far back before the arrival of Europeans and surging forward to today, one can spend any amount of time and come away with insights into all the eras shown. Consisting mainly of dioramas, there is a very life-like presence and very understandable labels. Straight ahead are the permanent exhibits. Items for sale reflect the culture and range from beads and feathers to DVDs and shawls and dream-catchers at very fair prices.
To the left is a wonderful gift-shop and snack bar. To the right, special exhibits are shown, photography, artifacts, private collections, etc. Modeled to reflect a Native American lodge, the main entry leads to a welcoming hallway. Most visitors come for the nearby casino and do not glance in the direction of this attractive building just to the south of the hotel-casino complex.
